Deep cleaning guide

What is deep cleaning?

This deep cleaning guide shows how  we  carry out a thorough clean in  your home, we start by removing items from surfaces so that we are able to reach into corners, shelving and window sills ect giving your home a thorough top to bottom clean.
Deep cleans are our favourite jobs to do, although hard work they are extremely rewarding, we love to see the expression on our clients faces when they walk into a sparkling clean home at the end of the day and we pride ourselves on the fact our clients tell us time and time again that it feels like they have walked into a new house that’s when we know we have done a good job.

How to book a deep clean?

First of all we take your details over the phone along with some information about the property that is going to be cleaned, once we get all of your information we carry out a home inspection at a time to suit you so we know exactly what to expect when giving a quote, quotes are given as a guide sometimes cleaning can take longer or at times less than the expected time quoted, which is why we charge by the hour for this type of cleaning service, and payment is made after the cleaning has been carried out.
A discussion will take place with the client about what they require and the areas of the home to be cleaned. We also discuss whether or not the client is on a budget so we are able to tailor our cleaning services to meet all of your needs and expectations. We have carried out many deep cleans where a home inspection hasn’t been carried out as it not always possible to view but this will only be allowed if the client is not on a strict budget as time scales can differ greatly.

How long does it take to carry out a deep clean?

The time scale can differ from property to property depending on the size and the amount of cleaning that is required, properties with lots of furniture, ornaments, pictures ect can take longer as we remove and clean each individual item. We have found that a standard 3 bedroom house with one bathroom will generally take around 6-8 hours we have been known to go over this time if a property is particularly cluttered or hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. We find that bathrooms and kitchens tend to take the longest to clean as they are so heavily used, some houses have more than one bathroom and this will all add time onto your clean so it is important to remember that your clean could cost more than the original estimate.

What happens after I book a deep clean?

You will be given a date for the deep clean to commence if we haven’t been able to do an inspection in advance we like for you to meet us there on the day so we can do an inspection before we start, if we have carried out an inspection we can arrange key collection so there is no need for you to wait around for us to arrive. We generally arrive between 8.30 and 9.30am and will work through the day until we finish, sometimes your clean may be carried over onto a second day but this is unusual and we would let you know in advance if this was likely to happen. We usually drop you a message through the day to let you know how far into the clean we are which is when you can decide if you want us to carry on doing the clean or call a halt to any further cleaning.

If a bathroom is heavily stained or has a build-up of mould we usually spray cleaning products and leave to sit while we carry on cleaning the kitchen this allows the worst of the build up to be removed making cleaning easier. We remove all toiletries, cleaning products ect and lift anything that is on the floor to maximise the cleaning that is carried out.

If a room is particularly cluttered we may ask you to de-clutter in advance so that we are able to clean it thoroughly or add on extra time for those areas, we will tell you beforehand if we are not able to clean it so you know exactly what to expect when you return home.
